Huggies Wipes... Transformation!

The husband and I do not have kids of our own just yet, but we have some supplies from babysitting the adorable nieces and nephews. One of those supplies, is the Huggies diaper wipes case. As we all know, these come plain, white, and boring. With that said, my boredom finally took over one night, and targeted it's attention the wipes case... Needless to say, it's no longer plain, white, or boring.

Materials Used:
  • Large diaper wipes case
  • Fabric
  • Ribbon
  • Hot glue gun with glue sticks
  • Scissors

I have a tote full of fabric that I have collected over the years, and found a color pattern just perfect for the case. I cut out a large rectangle of fabric that would suffice for covering the bottom and all sides of the case. I then used the hot glue gun to glue the fabric to the bottom of the case, and cut the remaining edges to fit the sides.

After cutting the corners and gluing on the sides, I made sure to leave a bit of fabric around the edges to close any and all gaps around the around the edges.

Once the sides were done, I cut an extra piece of fabric and layed it over the top of the box. I then traced the oval of the opening, and cut out that piece. After gluing the fabric to the top of the case, I cut strips of black ribbon to add decor, and cover up the edges in which the fabric meets. Then, just a few more touches with a sharpie to highlight certain areas, and voila!
